Let Me

I still remember those times,

A vivid image still resides.

And I wish it could be once more

Back again to those times so profound...

Let me clear a path for you

So that you can tread on it

And begin a new life

Like that cheerful one which was long back.

Let me plant trees on it

So that you get shade

To relieve yourself

When you are exhausted.

Let me create a bridge for you

So that you easily walk on it

Over fire and water

And cross without the slightest bit of pain.

Let me bring a mug for you

So that I collect all your tears

From your heart and those twinkling eyes

And keep it with me safe for life.

Let me take out all your sorrows

From every fragment of your life

And store it within me

So that you can have a cheerful life.

And let me light a candle for you

So that the darkness of your life brightens

Glowing side by side

Lighting up the right path.

Let me have a conversation with you

So that your heart feels light

And let me be the one to

Bring back a smile on that face.

Let me hold out my arms to you

So that you can come and fall into them

When you're exhausted from your life and frustated from the world

To reileve you from the troubles atleast for sometime.

And atlast let me open my heart to you

So that you come and reside in it

And find a friend within

With whom you can be for life.

A friend is like the blessing of a soul, the beginning A gift of God, the joy within The throb of heart that continues life The clouds that beautify the abandoned sky.
